WHAT HAP­PENED| IN JUST 10 days, one of the mur­der­ers of fa­mous An­gloZulu war his­to­rian David Rat­tray has been caught, tried, con­victed and sen­tenced to 25 years in prison. Twen­tythree-year-old Fethe Nk­wanyana pleaded guilty to the mur­der and of­fered to tes­tify against his ac­com­plices.

WHAT THE OTH­ERS SAID THE SOUTH­ERN Africa Tourism Ser­vices As­so­ci­a­tion said: “The rapid con­vic­tion and sen­tenc­ing will do much to re­store con­fi­dence both in SA and abroad in Gov­ern­ment’s abil­ity to tackle crime.” The Cit­i­zen wrote: “We ap­plaud the speedy cap­ture of one of the six men re­spon­si­ble for Rat­tray’s mur­der. We hope the oth­ers will be sim­i­larly dealt with… But we can’t help wish­ing it was al­ways thus...”
