FRANCOIS GETS LAYED FORMER SPRINGBOK rugby captain Francois Pienaar apparently doesn’t understand that a “yorker” in cricketing parlance isn’t a small dog, or that a maiden isn’t a young lady. VELOCITY’S EMPOWERMENT DEAL TELEVISION PRODUCTION company Velocity Films has entered into a black empowerment deal with Mamawood, a company coowned by Oyama Mabandla, the executive chairman of the Langa Group (a corporate investment company) and Vodacom, and Nthopele Mabandla. One of the most awarded production companies in Africa, Velocity produces TV commercials for the world’s leading ad agencies.
