WHAT’S THE BIG IDEA? We’ll be ac­knowl­edg­ing the best ex­pan­sion of a mar­ket­ing idea across a range of me­dia chan­nels when we present the AdRe­view Awards on 19 April. Last year’s Big Idea win­ner was TBWA Hunt Las­caris’s “Power of X” cam­paign for voter reg­is­tra­tion, which in­cluded events, me­dia ad­ver­tis­ing, road­shows, taxi rank pro­mo­tions and in­ter­nal com­pany com­mu­ni­ca­tions.

Other awards will be pre­sented for Ad Agency of the Year (in var­i­ous cat­e­gories and sizes) and the best in th­ese fields: me­dia agency, PR con­sul­tancy, de­sign agency, mar­ket­ing ser­vices com­pany and event.

The win­ning ci­ta­tions and case stud­ies will be pub­lished in Tony Koen­der­man’s AdRe­view, the au­thor­i­ta­tive an­nual guide to mar­ket­ing in SA. It’s a first port of call for mar­keters ap­point­ing a new agency, de­sign shop or any spe­cial­ist sup­plier.

The ea­gerly awaited pub­li­ca­tion will be pub­lished with both English and Afrikaans edi­tions of Fin­week, SA’s big­gest cir­cu­la­tion weekly busi­ness mag­a­zine, in the is­sue of 26 April. It’s the best way for ad agen­cies and other mar­ket­ing sup­pli­ers to reach the busi­ness com­mu­nity – your cus­tomers.
