THE BIG IDEA IS AN award for the best mar­ket­ing or ad­ver­tis­ing idea con­verted into a multi-faceted, mul­ti­chan­nel pro­gramme.

Spon­sored by Paarl Web, it’ll be pre­sented at the AdRe­view Awards at an exclusive in­vi­ta­tion-only din­ner on 19 April, when the latest edi­tion of Tony Koen­der­man’s AdRe­view will be launched.

Last year’s win­ner was a cam­paign by TBWA called “The Power of X”, with the pur­pose of per­suad­ing peo­ple to vote. It ef­fec­tively used events, me­dia ad­ver­tis­ing, am­bi­ent ad­ver­tis­ing ideas, pub­lic re­la­tions and in­ter­nal cor­po­rate com­mu­ni­ca­tions to bring in more than a mil­lion new voter reg­is­tra­tions.

The win­ning ci­ta­tions and case stud­ies of all the awards will be pub­lished in AdRe­view, the au­thor­i­ta­tive an­nual guide to mar­ket­ing in SA. AdRe­view will be avail­able free with Fin­week in the is­sue dated 26 April. It’s the best way for ad agen­cies and other mar­ket­ing sup­pli­ers to reach the busi­ness com­mu­nity. ¤
