WHAT HAPPENED TRUSTEES of slain mining magnate Brett Kebble’s estate issued notices of demand to the ANC, to repay more than R24m it received from Kebble. Both the ANC and the DA were recipients of money Kebble stole from shareholders. But the DA repaid R250 000 it received to the trustees. The ANC so far has not returned the funds, claiming they were donations used for various party projects and are not refundable. THE CITIZEN slammed the ANC, saying: “The ANC excuses for not paying back money received from crook Brett Kebble are feeble.”

ANC Spokesperson Smuts Ngonyama said: “This is all nonsense. There’s no money that the ANC is going to cough up and repay donations.”
