ANOTHER DOOR REVOLVES
ROB MCLENNAN, formerly of Lowe Bull and more recently JWT, has been appointed executive creative director of FCB Johannesburg. He replaces Brett Morris, who leaves the agency to take up a new position at Nando’s. In a market short of talent but expanding rapidly, senior ad executive mobility has increased noticeably.
McLennan is best known in the industry for his work on the Dulux, Axe and Nando’s accounts. “There’s no doubt that FCB has built some of South Africa’s greatest brands,” he says. “Their consistency is also amazing – every job is completed to a high standard. And if you look at creative awards, there appears to be something of a creative revolution at the agency. That fact played a key part in my decision to join the team.”
