ROB MCLEN­NAN, for­merly of Lowe Bull and more re­cently JWT, has been ap­pointed ex­ec­u­tive creative di­rec­tor of FCB Jo­han­nes­burg. He re­places Brett Mor­ris, who leaves the agency to take up a new po­si­tion at Nando’s. In a mar­ket short of tal­ent but ex­pand­ing rapidly, se­nior ad ex­ec­u­tive mo­bil­ity has in­creased no­tice­ably.

McLen­nan is best known in the in­dus­try for his work on the Du­lux, Axe and Nando’s ac­counts. “There’s no doubt that FCB has built some of South Africa’s great­est brands,” he says. “Their con­sis­tency is also amaz­ing – ev­ery job is com­pleted to a high stan­dard. And if you look at creative awards, there ap­pears to be some­thing of a creative revo­lu­tion at the agency. That fact played a key part in my de­ci­sion to join the team.”
