Finweek English Edition - - Openers - BENEDICT KELLY benk@fin

WITH SMALL CHILDREN a trip to the theatre is a challenge and a great family outing. With a successful outing to The Lion King under the belt, I thought it might be a good time to see how much it would cost to take the family to see the next Disney spectacular, Beauty and the Beast.

Calling Computicket, you have two options: a cellphone number that costs R2,85/minute or a landline. Kudos to Computicket for actually publishing its call rate from a cellphone on their site, although why it’s not a number you can use your free minutes to call is an interesting question.

After the obligatory warnings I was connected to an operator with almost no delay at all. There are no menu options, which is always pleasant. The agent was able to provide me with basic information before she even looked it up on the computer – which shows Computicket’s trying to employ people with initiative in the contact centre.

All the information was clear and concise and she was able to communicate the locations of the different price zones clearly. While it’s not as good as seeing a real floor plan it’s a close second.
