Destructive pens

Finweek English Edition - - Letters - MICHAEL BAGRAIM

I’M A REGULAR READER but have never seen anything as destructive as two letters (28 August) by Firoz Osman and Uzair Mohsin. Both letters contain disinformation clearly designed to turn your readers against both Israel and Jews worldwide.

As we’ve recently celebrated both Eid and the Jewish New Year, I can’t understand why people are so hell bent on spreading such nonsense. We need to concentrate on building up relationships and on future coexistence in South Africa. I ask readers to look for harmony and points of successful growth as opposed to venom.

SA’s Jewish people always hold out a hand of friendship to fellow South Africans and we’re always looking for commonality. I challenge the readers and letter writers to look for positives in the growth of our rainbow nation.
