A NEW AWARD for the best ra­dio ad cam­paign has been es­tab­lished for the AdRe­view Awards, with spon­sor­ship by Rad­Mark, a lead­ing me­dia mar­ket­ing so­lu­tions provider. “We’re do­ing this in an at­tempt to en­cour­age high stan­dards in ra­dio ad­ver­tis­ing,” says Rad­Mark sales di­rec­tor Wayne Bischoff.

Though spon­sored by Rad­Mark, the award will be judged by an in­de­pen­dent judg­ing panel set up by AdRe­view. Most AdRe­view awards are for pro­fes­sional and busi­ness per­for­mance by agen­cies. This breaks with tra­di­tion in that it’s a creative award.

En­try is easy: just send a CD record­ing of the cam­paign, ac­com­pa­nied by a sim­ple en­try form. The dead­line is 28 Fe­bru­ary.

The AdRe­view Awards on 23 April ac­knowl­edge ex­cel­lence in ad agen­cies. Spon­sored awards are Me­dia Agency of the Year (Ads24), The Baobab Award (IAS, the agency search and se­lec­tion ser­vice), Pub­lic Re­la­tions Con­sul­tancy of the Year (MSA, an agency and ad­ver­tis­ing mon­i­tor­ing ser­vice), Gaut­eng Agency of the Year (Jacaranda FM)
