AVIS AIMS TO BOOST its brand aware­ness at ma­jor air­ports with eye-catch­ing bag­gage wraps for se­cu­rity con­scious trav­ellers. “It’s a unique ser­vice that de­liv­ers value to cus­tomers,” says Avis GM Jessecca Peru­mal. “With more than 25 000 pieces of lug­gage be­ing wrapped in heavy duty plas­tic at Cape Town and Dur­ban air­ports alone, brand­ing the bag­gage wraps makes per­fect sense for us.”

The wraps are avail­able for a neg­li­gi­ble fee from Bag-It at both air­ports. Last year Avis headed the Ip­sos Marki­nor/ Sun­day Times Top Brands Sur­vey in the busi­ness-to-busi­ness car rental cat­e­gory for the fifth con­sec­u­tive year and won a Bronze award at the Loeries for its “Lost lug­gage” TV com­mer­cial.
