AVIS AIMS TO BOOST its brand awareness at major airports with eye-catching baggage wraps for security conscious travellers. “It’s a unique service that delivers value to customers,” says Avis GM Jessecca Perumal. “With more than 25 000 pieces of luggage being wrapped in heavy duty plastic at Cape Town and Durban airports alone, branding the baggage wraps makes perfect sense for us.”
The wraps are available for a negligible fee from Bag-It at both airports. Last year Avis headed the Ipsos Markinor/ Sunday Times Top Brands Survey in the business-to-business car rental category for the fifth consecutive year and won a Bronze award at the Loeries for its “Lost luggage” TV commercial.
