AS THE ECO­NOMIC POW­ER­HOUSE of South Africa, Gaut­eng is also the ad­ver­tis­ing in­dus­try re­gional leader. When we al­tered the cat­e­gories for our Ad Agency of the Year awards from size-based to re­gion-based the Gaut­eng award be­came one of the most im­por­tant. It’s spon­sored by Jacaranda FM, a suc­cess­ful re­gional ra­dio sta­tion that serves Gaut­eng and with an in­ter­est in sup­port­ing the re­gional ad in­dus­try.

The AdRe­view Awards on 23 April will be a glit­ter­ing oc­ca­sion, at­tended by ev­ery­body who’s any­body in the ad busi­ness. Its pur­pose is to ac­knowl­edge ex­cel­lence in ad agen­cies.
