United States net­work has lost its ex­clu­siv­ity over Ap­ple’s iPhone de­vice af­ter it was an­nounced last week that ri­val net­work Ver­i­zon will now also pro­vide the de­vice in the US mar­ket. Ap­ple is ex­pected to an­nounce its next gen­er­a­tion of the de­vice in the next cou­ple of months, along with an update to its iPad tablet de­vice. The shares of all three com­pa­nies were down af­ter the news.
