Employment in manufacturing changed little in June. After gains of 164 000 between November 2010 and April this year, employment in this industry has been flat for the past two months. In June, job gains in fabricated metal products (8 000) were partially offset by a loss in wood products (5 000). Finance lost 15 000 jobs, indicating the sector isn’t out of the woods yet. Retail gained 5 000 jobs.
