Five worst CEO jobs

Finweek English Edition - - INSIDE - BY BRUCE WHITFIELD

Why would you not want to be the CEO of your company? There’s the great salary, lucrative bonus structure and if you join at the right time, you can pick up some share options at the right price. It goes beyond the desirability of the corner office, having the prime parking spot right next to the lift into which no other vehicle would dare trespass, there’s the huge support staff – and maybe even the private loo. Play your cards right and one day they might even put a portrait of you up in a boardroom somewhere. It’s the job that most senior executives with any real ambition covet. It provides an element of corporate immortality.

There are some jobs, however, that are not worth even the bloated pay cheque.
