In the fifth edi­tion of its Lux­ury Goods China Mar­ket Study, Bain & Com­pany found that Chi­nese shop­pers ac­count for 25% of global lux­ury goods spend­ing, com­pared to 20% by US shop­pers. Although lux­ury spend­ing in China ex­pe­ri­enced a slightly slower growth rate last year, it still swelled by an im­pres­sive 37%. Ac­cord­ing to Bain, Louis Vuit­ton, Chanel, and Gucci are the top brands among Chi­nese shop­pers.
