EX-KPMG EXEC COULD FACE JAIL TIME:

Scott Lon­don, the former KPMG se­nior ex­ec­u­tive who was fired last month fol­low­ing his involvement in in­sider-trad­ing, has been slapped with crim­i­nal and civil charges that carry a pos­si­ble five-year jail sen­tence and $250 000 fine. Lon­don has been ac­cused of feed­ing con­fi­den­tial in­for­ma­tion to his friend Bryan Shaw, who is re­ported to have made $1.27m (about R11.4m) as a re­sult of the agree­ment. KPMG re­signed as au­di­tor of two ma­jor US com­pa­nies, Her­bal­ife and Skech­ers, fol­low­ing the scan­dal.
