The child coming i nto t he business needs to earn the parents’ confidence and the employees’ respect. I have seen so many variations on how a child is brought into the business and many of these methods fail. The most effective option sees the seven business functions being broken up into tasks and activities within an organised framework. For example, in marketing, identify the activities that make up this aspect of the business and allow the child to implement t he s e a c t i v i t i e s wit h s t a f f members.
