All pre­sen­ta­tions and ad­ver­tis­ing must show that shared va­ca­tion own­er­ship prod­ucts are an in­vest­ment in f uture hol­i­days and not for rental, re­turn on in­vest­ment or cap­i­tal gain on re­sale.

Con­tracts must have a pro­vi­sion giv­ing the con­sumer the right to with­draw from the con­tract within f ive work­ing days af­ter sign­ing the con­tract in writ­ing to an ad­dress in the con­tract as well as all other elec­tronic ways to con­tact the seller.

Each con­tract must have an at­tached check­list called a Cer­tifi­cate of Pur­chase ex­plain­ing the es­sen­tial ele­ments of the con­tract. The check­list must be ini­tialled and signed by the buyer.

The seller must give the con­sumer a copy of the con­tract at any time and no­body can dis­cour­age the con­sumer from seek­ing pro­fes­sional ad­vice.
