An­chor Cap­i­tal says t hat it has re­cently up­dated its port­fo­lio and sought to re­duce its ex­po­sure to the SA con­sumer sec­tor. The f irm told clients: “We have cho­sen to re­place Capitec and Fos­chini with Spur and hold some cash in the port­fo­lio. Be­ing a fran­chise busi­ness, Spur has a par­tic­u­larly strong busi­ness model and is 50% cheaper than its clos­est peer, Fa­mous Brands. With an ag­gres­sive store roll­out plan and in­no­va­tive group strate­gies we be­lieve the busi­ness is well placed to de­liver good earn­ings growth over the next few years.”
