By the time I realised that I had let a great profit slip away from me, I still could have salvaged some pride and made some cash back (even if selling at break-even). Instead I deleted the stock from my watch list and tried to forget I owned it. If I had instead sold at break-even and put my R20 000 into the Satrix40 at around R10 per Satrix, I would now have an investment worth some R80 000, excluding dividends received. Instead I will shortly be receiving a payment of R128 and finally be able to close that chapter on my worst investment ever.
