Medical aid schemes typically do not provide cover for fertilit y treatments, with the exception of CAMAF medical aid scheme, which will pay approximately R54 000 for one treatment per annum. Besides getting a bit of a tax rebate, you can’t claim back from the medical aid, says Friedman. She says that she spent over R500 000 going through the process herself.
