Uber – the app that magically brings you a car and driver that we reviewed in the 26 September issue of Finweek – has officially launched in Cape Town following a successful couple of months of operation in Johannesburg. The company says the response from South Africans has been overwhelming and that it is looking at places like Durban and Bloemfontein for possible future launches too.
BlackBerry embarked on an advertising campaign last week to assure existing owners that the company was still in business and that there’s nothing to worry about.
