TALE OF TWO COMPANIES
It is often enlightening to watch two companies in essentially the same sector have vastly different operating performances and profits. ARB Holdings and South Ocean are two that certainly have reported vastly difference performance. ARB has done very well, managing a large cash pile with absolute expertise while South Ocean has struggled. But a recent trading update promises HEPS up 105%-115%, admittedly off a very low base. I hope it is a case of subsidiary Radiant finally doing well and not some accounting smoke and mirrors in its oddly misplaced property portfolio.
