“This nor­mally re­sulted in higher costs for in­sur­ers par­tic­u­larly when there was a hire ve­hi­cle on the pol­icy. Our aim was to re­duce those costs and in­con­ve­nience by com­plet­ing the re­pairs within a week,” says Sch­ef­fer. “There was also a gap in the mar­ket for a trans­par­ent sys­tem where in­sur­ers and clients could track ex­actly what was hap­pen­ing to their ve­hi­cles on a daily ba­sis,” says Sch­ef­fer.
