A team of doctors involved with Stellenbosch University performed the world’s first successful penile transplant on a 21-year-old patient whose penis was amputated following a botched circumcision ritual. The operation was done in December last year, and the patient has regained full use of the organ, doctors said on 14 March. Now if we can just eliminate the botched circumcisions in the first place.
