The ex­pected de­cline in this year’s maize harvest in Zim­babwe com­pared to 2014, ac­cord­ing to the UN Food and Agri­cul­ture Or­gan­i­sa­tion, as drought and a de­cline in free fer­til­izer and seed dis­tri­bu­tion from gov­ern­ment hurt har­vests. The coun­try will need to im­port about half the maize it re­quires this year.
