Queen El­iz­a­beth II, who be­came the long­est-reign­ing monarch in Bri­tish history on 9 Septem­ber, is worth about $425m (R5.8bn), ac­cord­ing to Bloomberg Bil­lion­aires In­dex. The value of the monar­chy, which in­cludes as­sets such as Buck­ing­ham Palace, the Crown Jewels and the Royal Art Col­lec­tion, is es­ti­mated at $87bn. These as­sets, how­ever, are held in trust and don’t be­long to the Royal fam­ily. The Queen’s per­sonal as­sets are es­ti­mated to in­clude $75m of in­vest­ments, $110m of per­sonal prop­erty, a $75m stamp col­lec­tion and the $10m rated Royal Stud, ac­cord­ing to the Bloomberg Bil­lion­aires In­dex.
