One hopes that, should President Jacob Zuma decide to once again reshuffle his cabinet, he first watches the interview Al Jazeera did with Maite NkoanaMashabane, minister of international relations and co-operation. The nation’s top diplomat surely needs to focus on putting our collective best foot forward and selling the country internationally. Instead, she hardly responded to any questions with rational answers, ranting for example about having a hole in her head from having had to carry a water can as a child when asked about the conflict in Parliament. But then she managed to work in some praise for Zuma, “that leader of mine that I respect so much”, so he will probably keep her.
