MORE APPLE FOR BUFFETT
Berkshire Hathaway, the company founded by Warren Buffett, has increased its stake in Apple, investing $8bn in January. This brings its stake to 133m shares, making Berkshire one of Apple’s top five shareholders, with a stake worth $18.2bn, ft.com reported. However, Buffett said Apple’s share price is now so high that it is no longer an attractive investment – adding that “we can change our mind tomorrow”, ft.com said. Apple’s share price has increased by more than 12% since 31 January, when the group reported fourthquarter earnings showing a jump in iPhone sales. The stock is up 41.3% over the past 12 months, according to ft.com.
