MUSK TO SEND TOURISTS TO SPACE
Billionaire businessman Elon Musk’s SpaceX plans to send two tourists on a trip around the moon and back to Earth before the end of 2018. If the endeavour is successful, they would be the first humans to venture that far into space since the last of NASA’s Apollo moon landings in 1972, nytimes.com reported. Musk said the two people wish to remain anonymous. He also declined to say how much this would cost. Industry observers, however, questioned SpaceX’s ability to pull off such a trip before the end of next year, as its Falcon Heavy rocket and Dragon 2 capsule are running years behind schedule, nytimes.com reported.
