Pres­sure is mount­ing on SA busi­nesses to cut ties with KPMG over the firm’s work for the con­tro­ver­sial Gupta fam­ily, ft.com re­ported, with the In­sti­tute of Di­rec­tors in South­ern Africa (IoDSA) “tem­po­rar­ily” sus­pend­ing all co-branded events with KPMG. Al­le­ga­tions include that KPMG did not pick up the di­ver­sion of R30m, ear­marked for a Free State agri­cul­tural project, to pay for a 2013 Gupta wed­ding.
