The Spur re­sults were very bleak – frankly, this bodes poorly for Fa­mous Brands*. My view is that Fa­mous Brands is a far su­pe­rior oper­a­tion with stronger brands and bet­ter in­te­gra­tion with fran­chises, man­u­fac­tur­ing and lo­gis­tics. But even the bet­ter man­age­ment team at Fa­mous Brands are go­ing to find the en­vi­ron­ment tough, so I am ex­pect­ing weak re­sults when they ar­rive on 30 Oc­to­ber. I con­tinue to hold my shares in the com­pany. ■
