The North Gaut­eng High Court dis­missed an ap­pli­ca­tion by Seth Radebe, for­mer Transnet board mem­ber and head of the au­dit com­mit­tee, to have his re­moval from the state-owned en­ter­prise (SOE) de­clared un­law­ful and un­con­sti­tu­tional and to have the newly ap­pointed board re­moved, re­ported This is a win for pub­lic en­ter­prises min­is­ter Pravin Gord­han, who is spear­head­ing the clean-up of cor­rup­tion and mal­ad­min­is­tra­tion at SOEs. The de­part­ment said the judg­ment, among other things, con­firmed its be­lief that the pre­vi­ous board failed to demon­strate an ap­pre­ci­a­tion of the se­ri­ous­ness of al­le­ga­tions.
