Knys­na ‘sees red’

St­re­aks of red ro­a­red through Knys­na last week as Fer­ra­ri ce­le­bra­ted 50 y­e­ars in South A­fri­ca. Fer­ra­ri club chap­ters from a­cross the coun­try and the wor­ld des­cen­ded on Knys­na to com­me­mo­ra­te the e­vent and in the pro­cess ma­de 29 Sep­tem­ber a day re­si­dents of the town will not f­or­get.

All shapes, si­zes, mo­dels and co­lours of Fer­ra­ris tou­red through Knys­na on their way to the Knys­na Wa­ter­front, tur­ning he­ads all the way. Ac­cor­ding to chair­man of the Gar­den Rou­te Sout­hern E­qua­to­ri­al Fer­ra­ri Au­to­mo­bi­li Club (Se­fac), A­lis­tair Gibb, Se­fac is the ol­dest Fer­ra­ri club out­si­de I­ta­ly.

The an­ni­ver­s­a­ry is ce­le­bra­ted with a tour that star­ted in Jo­han­nes­burg and will end in Ca­pe Town. Knys­na got its turn to al­so ex­pe­rien­ce the­se high per­for­man­ce vehi­cles that are e­very red-b­looded ra­cing fan’s dre­am.

“We had mo­re than 80 vehi­cles ta­king part. They all ar­ri­ved at dif­fe­rent ti­mes, not to cau­se too much of an is­sue with traf­fic,” said Gibb.
