Two great minds left an impact on Eden’s Apac
Jolyon Stoffels, chairperson of Eden District Municipality's Audit and Performance Audit Committee (Apac) and Neil Metelerkamp, a member of the committee, were recently awarded with certificates of appreciation for their dedication to the organisation throughout the years.
Both Stoffels and Metelerkamp ended their services at Apac on 31 August. Stoffels served the committee for seven years as chairperson, and Metelerkamp served as committee member for the last six years. Eden Municipal Manager Monde Stratu, management, fellow Apac members and the Internal Audit Section expressed gratitude for their respective contributions to the organisation. In
2013, Stoffels served on the Apac committees of four municipalities (Mossel Bay, Knysna, George and Eden) - a year when all of them received clean audits. He is still serving as chairperson of George Municipality's Apac.
