Open day at SCC an eye opener
Learners from Thembalethu High and Imizamo Yethu Secondary Schools visited the South Cape Tvet College George Campus to attend the second annual open day on Wednesday 30 August.
It was an eye opener for the learners to realise that they can study full time and relate the qualification directly to the industry of their choice.
Apart from the career options available at the various campuses, the learners were also informed about the social activities held on campus and financial opportunities available to them once they have decided which qualification they want to acquire.
Next year the college is planning to host all the high schools in the area to instil the notion that there is a future in a qualification from a Tvet College in the community.
A special thanks goes to the Saps, George Municipality Tourism Office and the schools for their support in making the open day a success.
High school learners found South Cape College open day very informative.
