Pink Trees for Pau­li­ne kicks off in Ge­or­ge

The 2017 dri­ve of the can­cer or­ga­ni­sa­ti­on Pink Trees for Pau­li­ne star­ted na­ti­on­wi­de, and t­his y­e­ar the com­mu­ni­ty of Ge­or­ge will be mo­bi­li­sed li­ke ne­ver be­fo­re. The Ge­or­ge Vry­bur­gers and w­ho­le­s­a­le a­bat­toir Roel­cor ha­ve joi­ned for­ces and chal­len­ge the Ge­or­ge bu­si­ness com­mu­ni­ty, ot­her or­ga­ni­sa­ti­ons and the pu­blic to sup­port t­his pro­ject and rai­se funds for the can­cer com­mu­ni­ty of Ge­or­ge. Pink Trees for Pau­li­ne aims to cre­a­te a­wa­re­ness, u­ni­te com­mu­ni­ties and rai­se funds to en­s­u­re access to can­cer tre­at­ment for all pe­op­le aff­licted with all ty­pes of can­cer.

Can­sa has rai­sed mo­re than R600 000 for can­cer pa­tients through t­his i­ni­ti­a­ti­ve. Na­ti­o­nal He­ad: Ser­vi­ce De­li­very Ger­da S­trauss says the in­co­me rai­sed from the

2016 cam­paign is being set a­si­de for pa­tient ac­com­mo­da­ti­on du­ring can­cer tre­at­ment, ho­me-ba­sed ca­re nur­sing, fee­ding sche­mes for can­cer pa­tients, the trai­ning of so­ci­al wor­kers and al­so for sup­plying wigs, prost­he­ses and w­heel­chairs.
