National Golf Festival a resounding success

-

The 2018 edition of the National Golf Festival was a resounding success with a growth in participating players of more than 30% from last year. A total of 502 golfers took part, of which 119 were from the Garden Route and 383 from all over South Africa. During the festival, 25 golf days were presented over four days on 10 courses along the Garden Route, including Pinnacle Point, Mossel Bay, Oubaai, Kingswood, George, Fancourt, Simola, Pezula, Plett and Goose Valley.

The festival is open to beginners and serious golfers alike and winners are determined through a unique scoring system, levelling the playing field.

The golfers also enjoyed two excellent functions, with the welcoming function hosted at De Vette Mossel and prize-giving dinner at The Wilderness Hotel with

Arnold Geerdts as the MC. More than

R200 000 worth of prizes were handed out. The festival provides a healthy economical injection for the Garden Route region during winter. Bookings for the 2019 festival opens on 01 December and can be made online at www.natgolfest.co.za.
