Ex­cel­len­ce ta­kes le­ar­ners to JSE

Two le­ar­ners who ex­cel­led in le­a­ders­hip and mat­hs, Jo­zè Jor­daan from Park­de­ne Se­con­da­ry School and Ja­bez Jackson from Pa­calts­dorp High School, we­re cho­sen to ac­com­pa­ny the mar­ke­ting ma­na­ger of the Gar­den Rou­te Mall, Tu­mi Ma­san­go, to At­ta­cq (the GR Mall's he­ad of­fi­ce in Jo­han­nes­burg) for a u­ni­que ex­pe­rien­ce. The stu­dents at­ten­ded At­ta­cq's JSE re­sults pre­sen­ta­ti­on, did a tour at the Mall of A­fri­ca and le­ar­ned mo­re a­bout the op­por­tu­ni­ties and burs­a­ries a­vai­la­ble at PWC and ot­her au­di­ting com­pa­nies.

In­vi­ta­ti­ons we­re sent to all high schools in the a­rea for no­mi­na­ti­ons, and the le­ar­ners we­re se­lected ba­sed on the cri­te­ri­um "out­stan­ding le­a­der and Gra­de 11 pu­pil with the be­st re­sults in mat­he­ma­ti­cs". Ac­cor­ding to Ma­san­go, se­ven no­mi­na­ti­ons we­re re­cei­ved from Park­de­ne Se­con­da­ry, Pa­calts­dorp High, T­hem­ba­let­hu High and Ou­te­ni­qua High.

"We wish the stu­dents all the be­st for their fu­tu­re en­de­a­vours and are look­ing for­ward to re­cei­ve the next set of no­mi­na­ti­ons next y­e­ar for our half-y­e­ar re­sults," she said.
