The dis­ci­pli­na­ry he­a­ring of the 14-y­e­ar-old Gra­de 8 le­ar­ner of Park­de­ne Se­con­da­ry School who al­le­ge­d­ly pun­ched his te­a­cher, Hei­la Pan­gel, in the fa­ce on Mon­day 29 Oc­to­ber, was held on Tu­es­day 6 No­vem­ber. WCED spo­kes­per­son Mil­li­cent Mer­ton said the le­ar­ner and his pa­rents will be in­for­med of the out­co­me of the he­a­ring in due cour­se.

The in­ci­dent was pre­ce­ded by a re­quest from the te­a­cher for the le­ar­ner to re­mo­ve his cap w­hi­le in class.

A­not­her le­ar­ner who threw wa­ter at "Mr W­re­st­ling", who was part of the an­ti­bul­lying cam­paign un­der the aus­pi­ces of Se­an and C­han­tel Nor­ris's lo­cal South A­fri­can S­ports Le­a­gue, has been ab­sent from school sin­ce T­hurs­day 25 Oc­to­ber. He re­tur­ned to school on Tu­es­day 6 No­vem­ber and re­cei­ved a let­ter to ap­pear be­fo­re the school's go­ver­ning bo­dy dis­ci­pli­na­ry com­mit­tee.

A thi­rd in­ci­dent, a fig­ht be­t­ween le­ar­ners out­si­de the school grounds which hap­pe­ned on F­ri­day 26 Oc­to­ber, was ad­dres­sed in­ter­nal­ly af­ter the pa­rents of the le­ar­ners we­re sum­mo­ned to co­me to school.
