PUT YOUR CHOPS TO THE PORTUGUESE TEST!
Joburg South’s ultimate Portuguese feast, the Lusito Land Festival, offers several 300-seater restaurant tents, each focusing on different crowd-pleasing favourites: think espetadas, piri-piri chicken, Moz-style prawns, prego rolls and churrasco (braai to us). There are also six bars for Portuguese beers, catembes (red wine and cola cocktails), caipirinhas, wines and petiscos (their version of tapas), along with several pop-up cafes serving treats such as delectable farturas (their version of Mexican churros). With that full belly, the funfair is best left for the kids. 26 April – 6 May. Tickets R130. lusitoassociation.org.za
