“Pursue what sets your soul on fire without fear.”

Glamour (South Africa) - - Glamour Work -

Acting truly sets my soul on fire. When I’m on set or on stage, I feel alive, energised and connected. It also encourages me to step into different shoes and situations, and I’ve learnt so much about myself through these processes, and become more empathetic and understanding as a result. I get bored very quickly, so I love the variety of my field, which is filled with fresh excitement and constant challenges. And even if it is sometimes hard, that only serves to fuel the fire. To tell the truth, I can’t believe that I get paid to have so much fun!

Find the balance. As incredible as a career in acting can be, it’s also exceptionally taxing on the mind, body and spirit, so it’s important to know when to take a step back and focus on what’s really important in life. Carishma Basday Actress
