Body Welcome to the year of your obliques

Your side abs are going to look amazing!

Glamour (South Africa) - - All About You -

Cut-out tops and dresses are all over these days, from the runway and the red carpet to the street and even the office. This trend is excellent news for one very good reason: toning your obliques – the outermost muscles on each side of your core – is much faster and easier than getting flat abs. Another bonus to targeting this spot: “Defined obliques are like contouring for your waist, and make you look slimmer overall,” explains Dalton Wong, who has worked with celebs like Zoë Kravitz and Jennifer Lawrence.

Dalton gifted us with four ultra-effective moves; do them daily (and aim for one high-, one medium- and one low-intensity 30-60 minute cardio session each week), adding another set when the moves start to feel easy. “You’ll see and feel results almost immediately,” assures Dalton.

We like that guarantee – ooh, and that peekaboo top, too. Now get to work!
