This pres­ti­gious and cov­eted an­nual award cel­e­brates SA tal­ent at ev­ery level. And from the dance teacher whose care for one aban­doned dog led to a fundraiser for thou­sands of an­i­mals to the self­taught chef whose warmth, skill and de­ter­mi­na­tion to mas­ter what she calls “the lemon meringue pie from hell” turned into an award-win­ning TV se­ries, these are women who make us proud, in­spired and, truth to tell, pretty star-struck.
