The how-to

Put 2-3 scoops of ice cream, alternatin­g each flavour, into four fairly tall and spacious glasses.

Add two generous tablespoon­s of diced blueberrie­s, strawberri­es and peaches atop the ice cream, then add 2-3 Amarena cherries with a little of their syrup. Finally sprinkle crumbled Amaretti biscuits into each glass.

Repeat all of the steps and add a further two scoops of ice cream, diced fruit and Amarena cherries. Pour the cream into a pastry bag and top each glass with a generous swirl of cream and the remaining Amarena cherries to decorate. Serve with wafer biscuits.

You can also substitute the fruit for canned whipped cream depending on your personal taste and the season.
