Comfort food for the cold months

Idon’t think I’ve ever met anyone who doesn’t like curry. This flavourful dish filled with spices is like a magnet for many people. It’s also one of the treasures our fellow citizens from the East brought with them to our country. It’s winter comfort food at its best. And it’s actually really simple. You need good curry powder, or rather garam masala, and then your choice of meat: lamb, beef, pork, venison, chicken or seafood. There is, of course, also vegetarian curry for the non-meat eaters. A traditional curry is a long, slow process – perfect to make on the campfire – but there are also variations that can be prepared in a flash. Any town should have a spice shop and here you’ll find good-quality curry powder that will suit your individual tastes. That’s why it’s not really necessary to make your own.
