Jumping not running

On our way to visit our children in Namibia in February we saw this road sign. The “beware wild animals” sign’s kudu doesn’t jump into the air – it actually looks like it’s running. The sign is about 51 km south of Keetmanshoop on the way to Grünau. That day it was 39 °C and it was probably too hot for the kudu to leap into the air. Have other readers encountered this sign?
