Stake your claim for Market Day Challenge
BEACON Bay Retail Park will be hosting a Market Day Challenge on Saturday October 17 and applications are open to all pupils from Grade 4 to Grade 7.
Young entrepreneurs are requested to submit their business plans in an effort to secure their spot for the market day, for which the GO! & Express are media partners.
Food, crafts and other ideas are welcomed as we look forward to showcasing a variety of products on the day.
“This is a fantastic opportunity for children to learn.
“The South African economy is in desperate need of young entrepreneurs.
“Programmes such as these pro- vide children practical opportunities to express their entrepreneurial flair.
“At the same time they provide many wonderful life-skill lessons to be learned along the way,” Sheldon Loxton, founder of the Entrepreneurship Academy, added.
Applications are open and those interested in participating are en- couraged to submit their business plans at Beacon Bay Retail Park management offices between 9am and 4pm Monday to Friday in order to be considered as a stall holder at the Market Day Challenge.
Applicants will be advised within 48 hours if their business plans have been approved for the market day.
“The interest has been great and we look forward to a successful market day with lots of prizes up for grabs,” Loxton said.
Spaces are limited and entries close at 4pm on Monday October 5.
