DID you know that former South African cricketing star Monde Zondeki hails from King William’s Town?
Zondeki, 33, was born in the Eastern Cape town on July 25 1982, and attended Dale College.
He played for South Africa, the Africa XI, Border, Cape Cobras, the Warriors and Warwickshire during his tenure.
Known for his prowess as a right-hand batsman and a right-arm fast bowler, it was particularly his fast bowling which catapulted him to success, according to ESPN Cricinfo.
Persistent back injuries however led to his retirement in 2013. – Rep Reporter
