Slipper Day fundraiser
THE Reach For A Dream Foundation will once again be hosting their annual “Slipper Day” tomorrow.
The vision of the foundation helps children between the ages of three to 18 fulfil dreams they have harboured and who have been diagnosed with life-threatening illnesses.
Their mission is to inspire hope in the lives of “dreamers” as they face the daily challenge of treatment, and difficult and demanding situations.
The annual Slipper Day campaign encourages people to buy their wristband for just R10 and to wear their slippers to work – or school – for one day to show their support for children fighting a life-threatening illness.
Hope, courage and strength are the values that make dreams come alive and inspire dreamers to be positive, to heal, and to embrace their dreams for the future.
All of these things are made possible, with just one wristband. Their celebrity ambassadors created a design that embodies each of these values. Reach For A Dream are proud to have collaborated with the following celebrities who designed the values on the wristbands:
DJ Fresh and Carrol Boyes = Strength
Roxy Burger and Carrol Boyes = Courage
Gert-Johan Coetzee and Lira = Hope
You can buy your wristband at any Pick n Pay and Wimpy. Wear your wristband and slippers on the 12th of May to any Wimpy nationwide and get a free Wimpy coffee!
Support the Reach For A Dream Slipper Day initiative. For just R10 you can help make a child’s dream come true.
